Receivables, as of any date
Ask what receivables was on a past date and most systems rebuild backwards through every late edit since. The stored answer keeps three month-ends here, two of them the roll-forward’s own endpoints, all of them what was true then.
◆ Three month-endstwo of them already promised.
| Accounts receivable, as of | Balance |
|---|---|
| 31 March 2026 | 4,512,000.00 |
| 30 April 2026 | 4,890,000.00 |
| 31 May 2026 | 5,700,000.00 |
April is the roll-forward’s opening and May its closing; March is history the store simply kept. The payables twin does the same on the owing side, and the as-of hub collects the family. Sample values are illustrative, never client data.
◆ The owned answerthe open-invoice store, reused.
Open invoices are stored per day on the customer star; the balance is their daily sum, kept. As-of is a filter, the auditor’s date costs one read, and the answer matches what was signed at the time.
Use case
Problem
Auditors and lenders ask for receivables as they stood, the system rebuilds from today, and late billing makes the rebuilt answer drift from the signed one.
What we build
Daily stored balances from the open-invoice store, pinned to the roll-forward’s endpoints, answering any date as a filter.
What you get
As-of answers matching what was signed, borrowing-base requests that take minutes, and a subledger that agrees with its own history.
What was receivables on the lender’s date?
We build the daily store that answers in one read.
